Chapter One - Friendship & Life Treasures

The people that I would call my friends all have a sense of humor and they need that because we make fun of each other.  I have different friends for different reasons, so Taryn is a cartoonie friend who has all this chaos in her life but she always gets through it and i'm always there to listen.  Jasmine is my smart friend so if we have a test we study together and we always compete with marks so she challenges me.  Chloe is always the but of the joke and she is also the one that you can just talk to about anything.  So different people have different desirable traits.

If I had to choose on to be my best friend that would be Taryn.  Taryn and I have known each other since preschool but we only really started to hang out in grade seven.  In grade seven I was preparing for highschool so I started to make as many friends as I could because I knew that a lot of them would leave me, so If I have all these friends at least some would keep me in there group of friends.  Back in grade seven Taryn's best friend was Michel and they were friends since grade one.  In grade nine I left most of my friends behind to find new ones I tried to hold onto some but only ended keeping Taryn.  So here we are in a new place with only each other.  We had no classes together so we ended up making new friends such as Jasmine and Chloe.  Taryn and I had the same lunch so we both brought our new group of friends and basically made our group of friends that we would have through all of high school.  Through our whole friendship Taryn has taught me that nothing is permanent, I learned this just by listening to her.  She has moved multiple times,  her moms divorced, she has grown to hate people she used to like, and her mother has changed careers.  She has taught me not to fear change because you need change to become a better person.

As much as I like taryn I don't think that she will continue into my future.  To be honest I don't think any of my current friends will carry over into college.  If any of them do I think it would be Jasmine because she challenges me to be the best person I can be.  I will study for hours just so that I can beat her on a test.  Jasmine and  are going into different programs I'm going into business and she's going into medical.  However we are going to the same college so we already talked about taking the same electives so that we can stay in touch that way.  Jasmine is also one of my friends that will do great things so I want to hold onto her just to see what she can do.  I can see me and Jasmine becoming great friends in college and I look forward to where the future will take me.
